Senior Team
On the playing field last year, we made good progress. Our Junior
A footballers contested the Division 3 league final against Avondale.
Unfortunately they were beaten 1-9 to 1-4, in a very entertaining
game that we should have won. We now qualify to play Division 2
league football this season, 2008 which should improve our game
and hopefully we will have a good run in the Championship.

Cullen Cup
The format for the annual David Cullen Memorial Cup was changed
last year. Only two teams were involved, Laragh and Avondale. On
the day of the final which Avondale won, a fun day was organised
for the juveniles. This involved football matches and other competitions.
It was a huge success thanks to all who helped out on the day.
Carter Cup
Well done to the Senior Team who brought home the Carter Cup to
put up on the mantle alongside the Cullen Cup for this season of
2008. The team fought a hard battle against Coolboy on a cold November
day in Arklow but never the less our Lads played to there best and
all their hard work paid off as Tommy Cullen was presented the Cup
at the final whistle. Congratulations again to all the lads and
best of luck for the coming season.
