David Cullen Cup Day
The Annual David Cullen Cup Day has come and gone for another year and was a great success. With the help of a few prayers, the weather held up but the club was well prepared for thee odd shower with our new marquee which is a great investment for the club. The day started off at 1 o' clock with the Under 12 girls playing for the ladies shield unfortunately on the day An Tocher Under 12 girls were stronger on the day and gave the Laragh Girls a good game.
Next was the Under 8's which Laragh has two teams to line out both teams played very well against a very strong An Tocher teams.
Under 6's were out next which we would like to thank the mentors for getting it altogether and both the parents as well. The kids enjoyed the match and it was there for us all to see that the Laragh Juvenile Club has a bright future ahead.
Our Under 10's were the last of the Juvenile teams to line out and they played very well. Again An Tocher had a very strong line out again for this match both teams played very well and it was a very enjoyable match.
All Juvenile Kids played very well and both Laragh & An Tocher teams on all levels were all presented with a medal to acknowledge the hard work and dedication the kids have had over the last season.
Finally it was up to our Intermediate Team this year to bring home the cup, as it was David's 10 year anniversary there was that extra incentive to work very hard to bring home the cup. To a great crowd Laragh brought home the cup after waiting patiently for the last 8 years and the celebrations carried on right though the night.
Thanks to everyone who helped out and made the day such a success.
